WWE Raw Live Results – March eighteen, 2019 Good evening girls and gentlemen and welcome to our live coverage of the antepenultimate episode of WWE Raw before April 7’s WrestleMania thirty five, that is outwardly visiting be the longest WWE pay-per-view of all time. I won’t even pretend to be shocked at that.
Things are really heating up now, and we’ve got a pretty stacked show lined up tonight. Here’s what’s been confirmed so far:
A lesser-spotted Brock Lesnar appearance ahead of his Universal Championship defense against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania
Kurt Angle to announce his opponent for WrestleMania in what will be his farewell match
Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre
Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Dana Brooke – WWE Raw Women’s Championship… for some reason
Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush vs. Finn Bálor & mystery partner… if it is Braun Strowman I might cry (this went well)
All that and more on Raw tonight, and you can follow the live blog below for live automatic updates, results and thoughts throughout the show.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention, Raw’s in Chicago tonight, so that’s FUN.

Lesnar helps McIntyre to victory
McIntyre dominated throughout this one, blocking any attempt at a comeback from Rollins for the most part.
Drew actually grabbed a chair at one point, smashed it against the ringpost, but was met by a superkick before he could connect with Rollins. This led to a double nine-count on the outside, after which a burst of suicide dives, a slingblade, and a superkick from Seth led to a nearfall.
The pace slowed back down after this though, with Drew back on top before a superplex and falcon arrow from Rollins for another two-count.
As Seth is lining up for the curb stomp though, Lesnar’s music plays, he comes onto the stage, and with Rollins distracted, McIntyre lands the Claymore for the win.
McIntyre challenges Roman Reigns for WrestleMania
WWE WrestleMania 35
McIntyre throws to a video of last week when he ambushed Roman Reigns and then beat Dean Ambrose in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
A couple of stats from Linus before this one:
Excluding Rumbles and the like, the current record between these two is 12-5-1 in Rollins’ favor, but only 3-2 in singles matches.
In a pre-match promo, Drew says he wants to talk to Roman as ‘Joe, the man’, and challenge him to a fight at WrestleMania.
Drew finished off with the link:
‘You may have beaten leukemia, but on the grandest stage of them all, you will never beat me.’
Seth’s now on his way to the ring, and the two brawl on the ramp before the bout even gets underway.
Braun Strowman’s WrestleMania match is set, I guess…
WWE WrestleMania 35
So… Braun Strowman just said that the two SNL guys have made him so angry that he’s going to enter the André the Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania.
WrestleMania 35 host Alexa Bliss did join the segment, saying that it’s her duty to broker peace between Braun and the SNL peeps, but… yeah…
Batista wants to end Triple H’s career
Michael Cole asks Dave why he wants a match against HHH, and the ‘Animal’ simply says: “I don’t like the guy.” He then accuses Trips of using him a a meathead for protection.
Batista then explains that he left WWE in 2010 because the ‘Game’ didn’t think he was a big enough star, and away from the ring, he’s made a worldwide star out of himself.
Cole then goes full Cole and defends Triple H saying he’s been great to him and the talent in NXT, before Dave asks “what’s your malfunction?”, which I found absolutely hilarious for some reason.
Dave adds that he hopes Vince fires him from his professional role, before he himself ends HHH’s in-ring career at ‘Mania.
Batista addresses Triple H next
He might not be in Chicago, but he’s appearing live via satellite to address his WrestleMania opponent Triple H, it’s Dave ‘the Animal’ Batista.
Wish I looked as cool as he does:
Corbin’s day gets even better
Baron Corbin is going to face Kurt Angle at WrestleMania in Angle’s last ever match.
Baron Corbin just lost to Apollo Crews thanks to a roll-up.
Commentary really playing on the idea that Corbin is being resented on Twitter (which is true).
They could swerve us, or it could just be heat. Probably the latter I reckon.
Ronda kills Dana
That lasted all of 10 seconds.
Ronda kept the armbar in after Brooke had tapped out, and then pushed a ref again. And now she’s battering security. And so is her husband Travis Browne.
That’ll go down well.
Rousey defends the title next
Ronda Rousey defends her Raw Women’s Championship against Dana Brooke up next.
Rousey booed out of the building.
Hardly surprising, really.
Jim Ross reacts to Angle vs. Corbin at ‘Mania
WWE WrestleMania 35
Good Ol’ JR has had his say on Angle announcing that it will be Baron Corbin who faces him in his final match at WrestleMania, and I think it’s fair to say, we all completely agree:
Ricochet beats a former WWE Champion
With tag partner Aleister Black on his honeymoon, Ricochet’s in singles action tonight, taking on former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.
Aside from a handspring moonsault to the outside onto Jinder and the Singhs, and the 630 to win, that was very basic ‘heel beats up the babyface for the comeback’.
The crowd were HOT for Ricochet during his entrance. Barely a sound by the time the match was done.
Mojo Rawley still exists, believe it or not
Remember when they were doing those mirror promos with Mojo but then they randomly vanished?
Well, they’re back. For this week at least.
‘What good is potential if you never back it up?!’ he screams at himself.
I really, really like Mojo. I think he’s boss. I hope he doesn’t vanish again.
The Samoans want in on the fun
WWE WrestleMania 35
Sasha and Natalya are in the midst of an impromptu match when Nia Jax comes onto the stage.
She trash talks Beth, before Tamina appears and lays everyone out, as they issue a challenge to also be involved in the ‘Mania match.
Beth Phoenix is ready to return at WrestleMania
WWE WrestleMania 35
The ‘Glamazon’ announces that she’s ready to come out of retirement, saying she wants to stand alongside “the very best in the WWE (not entirely sure about that) Natalya” in a Women’s Tag Championship match against Bayley and Banks at WrestleMania.
Banks then accuses Nattie of riding Phoenix’ coattails just to get on the WrestleMania card, before a brawl breaks down and Phoenix shoves Bayley across the ring.
Bazza no mates
Baron Corbin’s backstage hanging out with the Revival, when Apollo Crews walks in, and says he wants a match with Corbin tonight.
Apollo says Baron has not mates, the latter says the Revival are his buddies, but they just say “hell no”, and walk off. Marvelous.
Sasha and Bayley in the ring now, they announce that they’ll be on SmackDown tomorrow, before being cut off by Natalya and… Beth Phoenix.
The farewell tour rolls on
Angle’s farwell tour rolls on with a win over fellow amateur specialist Chad Gable.
A pretty even match, with some great reversals, and Angle eventually winning with the ankle lock.
And everyone’s favorite wrestler and Angle’s WrestleMania opponent Baron Corbin comes onto the stage.
The crowd are very audibly chanting “we want Cena”.
But, Angle vs. Corbin it is, it seems. Joy.
Well, permanent strike it is
WWE WrestleMania 35
Angle first announces that he’ll be having a match tonight, before declaring his opponent for his final match at WrestleMania 35.
… IT’S CORBIN.
I don’t know whether to laugh, cry, or throw my TV out the window.
I mean, if it’s any consolation, we’ve got Gable vs. Angle right now.
But man, that is deflating.
Who will Angle’s opponent be?
Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring to announce who he’s going to face at WrestleMania.
Cena seems to be the most likely.
If it’s Corbin, I suggest we all go on strike from watching WWE. Permanent strike. Forever.
(Just to clarify, I actually really, really like Corbin, I just can’t be bothered with him vs. Angle AGAIN.)
Decisive win for the Sinister Songsmith
The most interesting thing about that match was Jose’s mental new green hair.
Fairly standard stuff, Elias wins emphatically with the Drift Away after a top-rope elbow drop.
Absolutely sound, but nothing special.
I just died on the inside
Elias announces that he is going to be the headlining musical act of WrestleMania!
That is amazing.
He says that if anyone dares to interrupt him at WrestleMania…
OTIS IS HERE!
Otis leads the No Way Jose conga line out to ringside, and just as it looks like we might be getting Elias vs. Otis, Jose unveils himself from under a costume, and we’re getting Jose vs. Elias instead.
Elias vs. Otis would have been the greatest thing of all time.
This will not. Jose vs. Elias up next. Of course they are just saving a big money match like Otis vs. Elias for a future WrestleMania.
John Cone tells Ronda off like a headmaster to a child
Ronda Rousey turns up to the show with her husband Travis Browne, only to be greeted by referee John Cone, who has a go at her for being late, and says extra security has been hired because of her actions.
Anyway, up next, a Moment of Bliss with Elias.
This should actually be very, very entertaining.
This was the “let’s all laugh at Lio Rush” segment of the show.
He actually landed the Final Hour frog splash on Braun, only for the latter to kick out with force at two.
Sandwiched between Finn and Braun, Lio has nowhere to go, and eats a chokeslam and powerslam from Braun to finish the match.
All the while, Lashley just walked off, letting his ‘hype man’ get demolished.
It is indeed Mr. Strowman
After a bit of a cringe promo from Finn, and then a cringe promo from Rush on Lashley’s behalf, it is indeed Braun that is Finn’s mystery partner.
Thanks for keeping it a surprise Cole mate.
Bálor’s mystery opponent is…
Up next, it’s Finn Bálor and a mystery partner of his choosing.
Now, we’ve gone to adverts, but because Michael Cole is a weirdo, he’s just given it away by saying it’s going to be “monstrous”.
So it’s Braun then.
What a shock!!!!!!!!!
Rollins ambushes McIntyre, Lesnar in retreat
McIntyre says that after he’s finished with Rollins, he’s not even going to make it to WrestleMania, but Seth runs out down the ramp and smashes Drew’s back with a steel chair.
And then he hits him with the chair multiple times while he’s down because why not.
The ‘Architect’ gets in the ring, only for Lesnar to retreat back up the ramp holding his title above his head.
Drew McIntyre cuts off Lesnar and Heyman…
Heyman lists all of the matches Rollins pointed out to him last week that Lesnar struggled against, those being AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and Finn Bálor.
Heyman, quite rightly, reminds us all that Lesnar did actually win those. He then goes on to call Seth Rollins stupid for wanting to face Drew McIntyre tonight.
And the Scot himself has just turned up…
Brock Lesnar kicks off Raw!
WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar kicks off Raw with Paul Heyman in tow!
Lesnar of course defends the Universal Title against Seth Rollins in under three weeks at WrestleMania.
Let’s see what Heyman has to say.
